CT Archers Selected for World Target Team:
Former Hall's All-Star, Karen Scavotto, and Butch Johnson of Woodstock,
CT were selected as members of the 44th FITA World Target Outdoor
Championships in Leipzig, Germany and the 15th Pan American Games in Rio
de Janeiro, Brazil. Karen also recently took gold in the Arizona Cup and the Texas Shootout.
Karen is a resident athlete at the Olympic Training center in Chula
vista. She is training with Coach Kisik Lee in the B.E.S.T. method.

Local Archer selected as member of USA Archery Dream Team:
Catherine Sahi, a Hall's All-Star was selected as a member of the USA
Archery Junior Dream Team. The Dream team consists of promising young
recurve athletes that finished in the top of their categories or were
selected by USA Archery National Head Coach Kisik Lee. The team will
travel to the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California once
per quarter for an intensive week long training camp.

Winner of Hoffman High School Hero Award announced:
The Hoffman Auto Group and ESPN Radio 1410 announced Catherine Sahi, a
Hall's All-Star, as the first winner of the Hoffman High School Hero
award. Catherine received a $500 scholarship at ESPN headquarters in
Bristol, CT. She met Bradley Hoffman of Hoffman Auto Group and Mike
Greenberg of "Mike and Mike in the Morning".

Archery returns to UCONN:
The University of Connecticut has a brand new club on campus! UCONN,
after many years without one, now has an archery club. Their coach is
John Sahi, a Level 3 and a High Performance Coach. John has been using
the B.E.S.T. method, developed by U.S. Olympic Kisik Lee, with the
archers. The club typically meets twice a week during the school year at
Radcliffe Hicks Arena on campus. They hope to put together a competitive
team next school year to compete at the Collegiate level.

2007 CT State Indoor Championships, Results Posted:
Final results have been posted for the 2007 CT State Indoor Championship
held on February 9 & 10, 2007. Sixty four archers competed at this years tournament which was held at
the University of Connecticut, Radcliff-Hicks Arena.
The Connecticut Target Archer Association would like to thank the University of Connecticut for hosting this event.

Local Archer makes U.S. Olympic Archery Team:
Woodstock CT resident, Richard Johnson, has recently earned a spot to the
U.S. Olympic Archery Team after competing at the US Olympic Archery Team Trials in Mason Ohio. This will be the fourth consecutive Olympic's in which he will compete.
Congratulations go out to Mr. Johnson on his recent achievment.
